ODAC Documentation for Visual Studio 2010

Oracle Corporation provides a documentation for Visual Studio 2010 developers called "Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC)".

ODAC includes a set of drivers, tools, and libraries that allow .NET developers to access Oracle databases. The components are fully integrated into Visual Studio 2010, making it easy to add Oracle data connectivity to existing .NET applications, or to create new applications from scratch.

Developers using ODAC can take advantage of a wide range of features, including:

• Support for Oracle Database 10g, 11g, and 12c
• The ability to connect to Oracle databases using ADO.NET or Entity Framework
• Support for Oracle data types, such as BLOBs and CLOBs
• Integrated support for Oracle Advanced Queuing
• The ability to develop .NET stored procedures and functions for Oracle databases
• Data encryption and security features, including SSL and Kerberos authentication
